Judi Kaminishi has taken risks, impacted others and given advice to spread betterment along her life's journey to create a wonderful story of success. betterSelf acknowledges her contribution to our growth and vision and her inspiration to all who choose to pursue a life filled with success and honor.
Making career changes every ten years or so is simply part of an ongoing master plan, devised at the age of seventeen. I chose to focus on developing a sense of aesthetics, in each area of career concentration simply because aesthetics define a higher quality of life for all concerned. Starting out with my own business in commercial interiors, I segued into developing my own fashion design label for career women, and then went into documentary film production. With degrees in each area of discipline, writing became the foundation for each stage. My first published articles began in 1999 for an online magazine called Suite101, under the topic of To Age or Not to Age. Since then writing for journals, magazines, newspapers, screenplays, etc. have simply added up enough credits which allow me to add "Writer" to my resume.
