Rebecca Musser was born into the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-DaySaints (FLDS Church), an extreme, isolated, polygamist sect of the Mormon faith. At age 19, she was forced in marriage to the church's leader, an 85-year-old man. At age 26, when her then 92-year-old husband passed away, she was set to be forcibly remarried — to his son and new FLDS leader, Warren Jeffs.
Today, Rebecca is a motivational speaker, advocate for victims of human trafficking and the author of the soon to be released book, The Witness Wore Red. This groundbreaking story about her experience growing up in the FLDS Church and her daring escape from the only world she ever knew, was written to inspire women around the world who feel trapped in mental, verbal or physically abusive relationships.
